We do tests to make teachers look good and the school look good, but we know they don't help us to learn what's important to us. Why is it that i sit in class for 47 minutes a day and most of he time learn things that i clearly know will never ever ever help me in life? I know that i am going to need to take tests in college, but outside of that and in the real world, when am i going to need to take tests. All we are doing is making the teacher look good when we do good on tests. But what i don't understand is why teachers give us tests and quizzes over things that we are not even learning. Or these 'pop quizzes' that they think is a good idea. How were we suppose to know to study. Which is another problem.. i have school for 6 hours a day, i do not want to go home and study for 4 hours for a test that i am not prepared for, because the teacher didn't get us ready for it. I don't agree when teachers giving us tests over things that i do not need to know. There is not a reason to be wasting time on tests when everyone knows that it will not have any effect on us. we all get nervous when taking test. Just because they put to much pressure on us. The OGT is what annoys me the most. Because all of my sophomore year is getting ready and reviewing for that. I am not learning anything new. Anyways, bad idea.
