Shoes:
Shoes make me happy when skies are gray! There is nothing better than getting a new pair of shoes. My mom and I share to same passion for shoes shopping and we use dumb excuses to shop for shoes. I normally get a new pair every 2 weeks. Most of the time I really don’t care how much the shoes are. I will buy them anyways. One time my mom and I were shopping for a new pair of flip-flops and she saw a gold pair that she fell in love with but some big lady came out of no where and took them. This wasn’t going to go well with my mom. So she nicely told the lady that she had seen them first. I don’t even know why the women picked them up because they were obviously to small for her large man feet. She told my mom “No I saw them first.” That is when she got angry and started fighting with the women. They had a simple back and forth argument for around 5 minutes before the lady started getting in my mom’s face. My mom gave her a tiny shove and the large, mean lady flopped on the ground like a pancake. We ended up getting the shoes… and getting kicked out of the store. But it was worth it because it was a awesome story to tell later. Go mooommmaaa. I probably wouldn’t , mess with her shoes if I were you (:

No more cursive writting:
I think that they are doing this because it really isn't that important to be able able to write in cursive. They should spend more time teaching the students the current way to write instead of teaching them different styles. They have realized that they need to educate them about how to write well to get good jobs and things. You really aren't going to need to use cursive writing in a job. So it really it isnt that important. Normal print is just as fine as cursive. The old method of writing is now being replaced with the modern version.

Back to school:
Summer- My whole summer consisted of going to the beach, being with friends, and playing volleyball. My normal routine was to get up around 11, go have fun, then play. My bed time was around 3 in the morning. I didn’t care about much of anything and the most literature I got was from sending text messages which were probably all incorrect and informal. All in all, I had a fun packed summer with not a lot of worries. (:
August- When August 1st came around I was focused on not dying during 2-a-days for volleyball. After making it out alive, the 12th came around and it took me by huge surprise.. Well.. that’s an understatement. I wanted to cry at the thought of having to go back to school. I was both mentally and physically unprepared. I hadn’t got clothed, supplies, and my brain wasn’t fully there. Picturing myself sitting in a small desk all day, didn’t make me eager to go. To be honest, I hate going back to school. I don’t find it as joyes as others do. Most are excited to get back and see all of their friends. Sorry, but I saw all the friends I cared about over summer. So my enthusiasm wasn’t really through the roof.
Back to school shopping-
Dear American Eagle,
Spending about 60 dollars on a shirt is not how I like to start my day. And I don’t think that its right for back-to-school clothes to be so expensive. Please lower your prices on behalf of everyone. Thanks and have a nice day.
Sincerely,
Mikayla
When I was going to get my supplies, it took everything I had not to go home and set every notebook and pencil on fire… that’s how much I dreaded going back to school.
The first day- Reminding you that, for the past two months I would finally grace the world with my presences at around 11 a.m. So, getting up at six wasn’t my ideal way of starting the day. Rolling out of bed, attempting to look presentable, and getting there on time was a huge challenge. Walking in was probably the most horrible thing all day. Seeing people that you have gladly not seen in months is great. Not. Everything stares at each other like a bunch of diseases. Dirty looks fling through the hallways are my favorite. Sometimes you see the occasional hugs from the people that act like they really want to see that other person, when really, deep down inside, they forgot about them over summer.
Yayyyy! Lets see who’s in my class.. Well. I hate you, you, you, you. You seem okay. Who are you? I hate you. And you smell bad. Yeah, sounds like I great year! Then, you sit for 47 minutes, listening to seven different teaches rambling on and talking about the same thing. No offence but, NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR STUPID SYLLABUS! And WE UNDERSTAND THE CELL PHONE POLICY. No matter how you say it, it still sucks! I had a huge headache at the end of the day.
My mom: “How was your first day?”
Me: “It took everything I had not to punch myself in the face so I wouldn’t have to sit there anymore.”
Back to school= fail.
